Research

The CEES conducts first-rate interdisciplinary research on selected topics relating to current events in Eastern Europe. The Center addresses socially relevant issues in the fields of contemporary history, politics, economics, society and culture. Geographically, it covers all states and regions of formerly socialist Eastern Europe, with special attention given to Russia and post-Soviet countries.
